KnowESG reported on October 12, 2026 that Pulpex had opened its first commercial-scale fibre bottle manufacturing facility near Glasgow. Pulpex's formal announcement states initial capacity of up to 40 million units a year and approximately 39 skilled jobs. ESG Today also covered the same facility on October 9. Opening does not establish full-capacity output.

Pulpex positions moulded wood-pulp bottles as an alternative to glass and plastic packaging and plans to scale through licensed manufacturing. The company says more than 90% of initially available capacity for the current financial year has been sold, with launch customers in mineral water and laundry products. Demand statements do not replace evidence of shipments, quality or recycling performance.

A 2025 UK government investment record described 50 million bottles a year and 35 jobs, while the opening announcement states up to 40 million and about 39 jobs. Both versions should be preserved.

Delivery requires batch records for fibre origin, barrier-formulation versions, moulding parameters, filling tests, quality release, customer orders and regional recycling trials.
