英國教育部宣布向達勒姆郡的高等教育機構投入近兩百萬英鎊，作為全國八十八點五億英鎊資金計畫的一部分，受惠單位包括杜倫大學與新達勒姆學院。

Durham University will receive one million seven hundred ninety seven thousand eight hundred thirty two pounds to support seven projects across three key areas: Creative Industries and Digital Media, Chemical Automation and Sustainable

校方將建置全新的數位影像擷取設備、沉浸式技術空間與人工智慧應用分析平台，以支援數位技能與產業人才需求。

The funding will also support the creation of a Chemical Automation facility and a Sustainable Materials Laboratory to embed green chemistry, materials science, and digital competencies in undergraduate education. In engineering fields, the university will upgrade existing teaching laboratories and establish a Flight Controls Laboratory to expand teaching capacity in clean energy and advanced manufacturing.

The allocation, set for the twenty twenty five to twenty twenty six financial year, will help institutions enhance their infrastructure and develop courses that address regional employer needs while supporting national industrial transformation. Successful bids were required to align with the government’s industrial strategy, demonstrate strong value for money, and uphold environmental sustainability.
