AZEC會議推動東南亞能源轉型 日本企業擴大綠色影響力

由日本主導的「亞洲零排放共同體」（AZEC）近日在印尼舉行了部長級會議，旨在推動東南亞地區的能源轉型和綠色經濟發展。在此次會議期間，共簽署了70份合作備忘錄，其中包括豐田通商與印尼國營石油公司合作開發生質燃料和綠氫的計畫，顯示出日本在亞太地區擴大綠色影響力的決心。

The "Asia Zero Emissions Community" (AZEC), led by Japan, recently held a ministerial meeting in Indonesia, aiming to promote energy transformation and green economic development in Southeast Asia. During this meeting, a total of 70 cooperation memorandums were signed, including Toyota Tsusho's plan to cooperate with Indonesia's national oil company to develop biofuels and green hydrogen, showing Japan's determination to expand green influence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Japan actively promotes energy transformation in Southeast Asia

Toyota Tsusho, a trading company under Toyota Motor Group, plans to provide renewable energy in the Indonesian port of Badin and its industrial park. The infrastructure is expected to be opened in 2026 and commercialized in 2028. This move will not only help promote local green energy use, but will also strengthen Toyota's logistics business.

豐田通商，作為豐田汽車集團旗下的貿易公司，計劃在印尼巴丁港及其工業園區提供再生能源，基礎設施預計在2026年啟用，並於2028年實現商業化。這一舉措不僅有助於推動當地的綠色能源使用，也將加強豐田的物流業務。

印尼經濟統籌部長艾朗嘉強調，此次合作重點在於提升區域電網、投資氫和氨等新能源，以及開發新世代車輛和永續燃料。這些措施將促進東南亞國家在綠色經濟領域的快速發展。

Indonesian Economic Coordinating Minister Airanga emphasized that the focus of this cooperation is to upgrade regional power grids, invest in new energy sources such as hydrogen and ammonia, and develop new generation vehicles and sustainable fuels. These measures will promote the rapid development of Southeast Asian countries in the field of green economy.

AZEC: A bridge for Asia’s decarbonization cooperation

「亞洲零排放共同體」（AZEC）由日本首相岸田文雄於2022年提出，並於2023年正式成立，成員包括日本、澳洲及9個東協國家。AZEC旨在作為區域脫碳合作和政策協調的平台，推動亞洲地區的綠色轉型。在70個合作備忘錄中，已有14個項目獲得10億美元的投資，展示出日本在推動交通產業永續燃料市場方面的積極努力。

The "Asia Zero Emissions Community" (AZEC) was proposed by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in 2022 and officially established in 2023. Its members include Japan, Australia and 9 ASEAN countries. AZEC aims to serve as a platform for regional decarbonization cooperation and policy coordination to promote green transformation in Asia. Among the 70 cooperation memorandums, 14 projects have received US$1 billion in investment, demonstrating Japan's active efforts in promoting the sustainable fuel market in the transportation industry.

Japanese companies’ green economic layout in Southeast Asia

看好東南亞的綠色經濟潛力，日本企業紛紛投資再生能源和減碳技術。雙日（Sojitz）與印尼最大屋頂太陽能開發商合作，不僅在永旺的印尼據點安裝太陽能板，還計劃開發儲能電池和零碳燃料。九州電力旗下的九州電工則致力於在印尼偏遠離島地區推廣綠電，替代昂貴的柴油發電。

Optimistic about the green economic potential of Southeast Asia, Japanese companies have invested in renewable energy and carbon reduction technologies. Sojitz has partnered with Indonesia's largest rooftop solar developer to not only install solar panels at Aeon's Indonesian base, but also plans to develop energy storage batteries and zero-carbon fuels. Kyushu Electric Power, a subsidiary of Kyushu Electric Power, is committed to promoting green electricity in remote island areas in Indonesia to replace expensive diesel power generation.

同時，住友商事在越南的城市開發中引入了再生能源和科技，並與日本石油公司引能仕合作，在馬來西亞砂拉越州開發綠氫，計劃將其出口回日本，支持政府的氫能目標；《日經亞洲》分析指出，日本通過推動綠色和減碳計劃，增強了在東南亞的影響力，對抗中國在該地區的崛起，也為日本企業在東南亞市場擴展商機鋪平了道路。

At the same time, Sumitomo Corporation has introduced renewable energy and technology into urban development in Vietnam, and has cooperated with Japanese oil company Innos to develop green hydrogen in Sarawak, Malaysia, and plans to export it back to Japan to support the government's hydrogen energy goals; "Nikkei Asia" analysis pointed out that Japan has enhanced its influence in Southeast Asia by promoting green and carbon reduction plans, countering the rise of China in the region, and paving the way for Japanese companies to expand business opportunities in the Southeast Asian market.
