Brazilian restoration company Mombak has launched a second Amazon reforestation fund targeting $150 million and signed a new carbon-removal offtake with Salesforce. Reporting also points to a first fund of about $120 million and a roughly 200 million-real credit facility from Brazil's development bank for the new vehicle. These figures show capital and buyer demand converging, but they do not mean the entire fund is closed or that every future unit has been issued and delivered.

Salesforce expands the buyer side, while fund investors, landholders, project developers, validators, registries and final buyers retain different duties.

Combining fundraising, forecast removals, issuance, delivery and retirement in one claim would overstate both financial and climate evidence.

Buyers should specify vintage, methodology, delivery trigger, replacement terms, registry serials, payment conditions and permitted claims in each offtake, rather than treating the contract as proof of later issuance.
