Driving Decarbonisation in the Regional Building Materials Sector and Creating a Green Competitive Edge

Lafarge Egypt emphasized that this sponsorship aligns with its long-term ESG strategy, which aims to transform the local building materials sector through a triad of sustainability, digitalization, and resilience. The company has already converted 98% of its cement portfolio into green products and is targeting a 50% carbon emissions reduction by 2030. Its two flagship sustainable product lines - ECOPlanet and ECOPact - focus on low-carbon outputs and recycled materials and have gained substantial traction in the regional market.
