新加坡氣候農業科技公司Rize宣布完成3,100萬美元B輪募資，將加速拓展東南亞低碳稻作解決方案，進一步協助農民降低甲烷排放、提升生產效率，並強化農產品供應鏈的永續管理與透明度。此次募資包括2,000萬美元股權投資及1,100萬美元債務融資，使公司成立以來累計募資總額達4,700萬美元。

Singapore-based climate agritech startup Rize has raised $31 million in Series B funding to accelerate the expansion of its low-carbon rice farming platform across Southeast Asia. The funding will support the adoption of methane-reduction technologies, strengthen supply chain traceability, and enhance carbon certification capabilities, helping farmers improve productivity while reducing agricultural emissions.

稻米是全球最重要的主食作物，每年市場規模超過3,000億美元，但水稻種植亦是農業部門最大的甲烷排放來源之一，約占全球甲烷排放量12%，其氣候影響相當於全球航空業的排放規模。降低稻田甲烷排放已成為全球農業淨零轉型的重要課題。

Rice is the world's most widely consumed staple food, generating an annual market worth more than $300 billion. However, rice cultivation is also responsible for approximately 12% of global methane emissions, making it one of agriculture's largest contributors to climate change and comparable in impact to the global aviation sector.

Rize於2023年由新加坡淡馬錫（Temasek）、Wavemaker Impact、Breakthrough Energy Ventures及GenZero共同成立，專注於運用數據科技推動低碳農業。目前業務主要布局印尼與越南，並計畫進一步拓展至印度市場，以擴大亞洲永續稻作的影響力。

Founded in 2023 through a joint venture involving Temasek, Wavemaker Impact, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, and GenZero, Rize develops data-driven agricultural solutions that combine agronomic expertise with Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) technologies. The company currently operates in Indonesia and Vietnam and plans to expand into India as part of its regional growth strategy.

Rize's platform enables farmers to adopt low-emission cultivation practices while creating financial incentives throughout the agricultural value chain to encourage broader adoption of climate-smart agriculture. Since completing its Series A round two years ago, the company says its operations have grown more than tenfold, establishing one of Southeast Asia's leading sustainable rice farming platforms.

本次募資將用於強化農產品從田間到買家的全程溯源能力，擴大「間歇灌溉」（Alternate Wetting and Drying，AWD）技術的應用，提高最大殘留容許量（Maximum Residue Limit，MRL）管理能力，並深化碳減量認證服務。公司目標於2030年前服務15萬名農民，涵蓋30萬公頃稻作農地，進一步推動區域農業減碳與供應鏈永續發展。

The new funding will be used to strengthen end-to-end field-to-buyer traceability, expand the adoption of Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) irrigation practices, improve Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) compliance, and enhance carbon certification services. By 2030, Rize aims to support 150,000 farmers across 300,000 hectares of farmland.

本輪股權投資由法國巴黎資產管理公司（BNP Paribas Asset Management）領投，洛克斐勒基金會（The Rockefeller Foundation）、淡馬錫及Breakthrough Energy共同參與；債務融資則由大華銀行（UOB）、越南投資發展銀行（BIDV）及淡馬錫基金會（Temasek Foundation）提供。

The Series B round included $20 million in equity financing led by BNP Paribas Asset Management, with participation from The Rockefeller Foundation, Temasek, and Breakthrough Energy Ventures. An additional $11 million in debt financing was provided by UOB, BIDV, and Temasek Foundation, bringing Rize's total funding to $47 million.
