Green Project Technologies 宣布完成對企業碳管理平台 Optera 的併購，藉由整合雙方在供應鏈減碳、碳盤查與永續揭露領域的技術能力，打造涵蓋碳排放量測、法規遵循及減碳規劃的一站式解決方案，協助企業加速淨零轉型並提升供應鏈碳管理效率。

Green Project Technologies has acquired Optera to integrate carbon accounting, supplier engagement, and decarbonization planning into a unified platform that helps companies comply with evolving sustainability regulations and accelerate Scope 3 emissions reduction.

Optera 成立於 2006 年，最初提供永續顧問服務，後續轉型為碳管理軟體公司，開發可產出具稽核品質（audit-ready）的溫室氣體排放數據平台，涵蓋企業營運、供應鏈及產品生命週期的碳排放管理，協助企業因應日益嚴格的氣候揭露要求。

Green Project Technologies has announced the acquisition of enterprise carbon management platform Optera, combining the two companies' expertise in supplier engagement, carbon accounting, and decarbonization planning to deliver an end-to-end solution for emissions measurement, regulatory compliance, and climate action.

Founded in 2006, Optera began as a sustainability consulting firm before evolving into a software provider specializing in audit-ready greenhouse gas emissions data across corporate operations, supply chains, and product life cycles. Its platform enables organizations to strengthen climate reporting while meeting increasingly stringent disclosure requirements.

Green Project Technologies 則由前高盛（Goldman Sachs）策略主管 Sam Stark 於 2021 年創立，專注於以人工智慧（AI）技術提供企業與供應商碳盤查、供應鏈減碳、再生能源採購、永續報告及顧問服務，並於 2023 年加入全球環境商品與永續解決方案公司 ACT Group。

Green Project Technologies, established in 2021 by former Goldman Sachs strategist Sam Stark, develops AI-powered software that helps enterprises and suppliers measure, manage, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Its offerings include carbon accounting, supplier engagement, renewable energy procurement, sustainability reporting, and advisory services. The company became part of ACT Group in 2023.

此次併購正值全球企業面臨永續法規快速升級之際，包括美國加州《SB 253 氣候企業資料責任法案》、歐盟《企業永續報告指令》（CSRD）以及《碳邊境調整機制》（CBAM）等政策陸續上路，使企業對高品質碳排放數據及供應鏈管理能力的需求大幅提升。其中，通常占企業碳足跡最大比例的 Scope 3（價值鏈）排放，仍是目前碳管理最具挑戰性的領域之一。

The acquisition comes as businesses face mounting pressure to comply with major sustainability regulations, including California's SB 253 Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act, the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). Scope 3 emissions, which often account for the largest share of a company's carbon footprint, remain one of the most complex areas of emissions reporting and supplier management.

整合完成後，新平台將提供企業更完整的碳管理功能，包括辨識高排放熱點、優先管理關鍵供應商、制定減碳策略，並串接再生能源憑證（RECs）、生質甲烷（Biomethane）、永續航空燃料（SAF）及 Carbon Insets 等環境商品市場，同時搭配永續專家顧問服務，協助企業從碳揭露進一步邁向實際減碳。

The combined platform will enable organizations to identify emissions hotspots, prioritize supplier engagement, develop decarbonization strategies, and access a marketplace for renewable energy certificates (RECs), biomethane, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and carbon insets. These capabilities will be supported by sustainability experts and environmental market specialists to help companies move beyond emissions reporting toward measurable climate action.

Green Project Technologies 近年持續透過策略性併購強化產品版圖，近期已收購減碳規劃平台 Zeroute，並於去年併購 Scope 3 碳管理業者 Emitwise，不斷擴充企業碳管理解決方案。

The acquisition also continues Green Project Technologies' expansion strategy. The company recently acquired decarbonization planning platform Zeroute and previously acquired Scope 3 carbon accounting specialist Emitwise, further strengthening its enterprise climate software portfolio.
